Program Format
Each monthly session features a skilled storyteller who presents children's books and classic tales using expressive ASL. The stories are chosen to be visually engaging and culturally resonant.
- Story Presentation: Stories are told exclusively in ASL.
- Voice Interpretation: For the benefit of hearing attendees, voice interpretation may be provided, depending on the availability of a qualified interpreter, or may be provided by a library staff member/volunteer if feasible.
- Interactive Element: Following the story, a brief interactive component (e.g., learning a few basic signs related to the story, a simple craft, or a Q&A) will be included.
